How to apply on-line |

This document describes the on-line application process at the Canadian IBRO Schools of Neuroscience site.
- You need to log onto the system in order to open the on-line applications. The log-in button is located in the upper right-hand corner of this page.
- On the page that opens (your Personal Site) click on
Applications and Forms/Apply to open the page listing the currently available applications. Click on the title to open the application.
- Applications are available for on-line editing until the deadline date (midnight, Eastern Standard Time = Montreal time).
- If you do not remember your password, request it by sending an e-mail to
ante.padjen@mcgill.ca You will receive an answer within two working days.
- You must have an account in this site to us online application(s)/.
If you do not have an account on Can IBRO Schools of Neuroscience site start the self-registration by opening: Registration Please read and follow the instructions associated with the procedure. and follow the instructions.
General Each application is composed of a set of forms, as described below. After entering data in a form move to the next one clicking on Insert or Update links. Detailed instructions are posted with each form.
CV The first part of the application deals with your personal data. These data are an essential component of your application, and you should provide all details as requested in the forms. Note that once filled out, your personal information is available for any other IBRO program you might apply to in the future. (Detailed instructions are also posted with each form).
- Application status (Indicates the date of last edit and the status: active, canceled)
- Professional information
- Address & telephone
- Language proficiency
- Education
- Positions held
- Research info: Summarize your current research
- Supervisors (your current Supervisor should provide a reference letter (Form 11)
- Publications (last three years)
- Awards (especially, all IBRO awards)
Referees 11. Referees are required (the number is dependent on the application type), one of whom should be your current Supervisor (also entered in Form 08). 12. This application will automatically send an e-mail to the proposed Referees requesting the letter of reference and providing instructions on how to fill out the on-line letter of reference.
Uploading files 13. Uploading of files: Provide justification for applying for the award (PDF or MS Word format)
Final Form 14. Confirmation of the completion of application. It is important to save this form by clicking on Restart.
A brief note on entering data in the forms
- The text prepared in MS Word and copy/pasted in the forms needs to be cleaned from the invisible MS Word code incompatible with the HTML. To remove the code, you should copy/paste MS Word text in Notepad and then copy/paste from Notepad to the forms.
- The data are saved as soon as you click on "Insert" (for first time entries) or on "Update" and next form is opened.
- In areas where multiple entries are allowed, there will be a button "Add New". Once finished with entries, use "Continue". If there are no entries, use "Cancel".
